birds and fish

For the first time i have bought 2 birds and 2 fish for my house

I am usually averse to raising pets at house
But not able to stop my kids...zidd
i had to ..

Since yesterday i have been telling him i will take you to shop with birds and fish
Woke up a bit late as it was saturday and the first thing he asked me was when shall we go to that shop

I sid 12 o clock then i said 3 then i said 4 PM
and finally me my kid and my helper laxmi started to the shop

The shop is at Allwyn X roads...
I have been watching this shop for the past few weeks
and had always my kid in mind when i passed through it...

My husband and father in law were away today...so no intense cooking today..
That made me into some good mood and wanted to do something different

Cooking eats away my energy and time ....every saturday and sunday
Actually wanted to do much more things today but landed up just completing this...

Now the shop where this birds and fish are sold is approx 6-8 kms from my house
Though i have a car at house i cannot drive
and as my husband is away i need to take an auto
To get any shared auto we have to walk 1 km
So three of us set on a walk and finally reached Nizampet X road
I was scared of taking my helper laxmi more than my kid ..
The reason is that since she is from a village ..she is not used to this halla gol of traffic and sound ...and often has nausea and vomiting...

So i was checking if she was alright

Getting down at nizampet x road..crossed the road..
The traffic was huge as it was peak hour...

Got any other shared auto and went to allwyn x roads..
My kid was restlessly searching for the shop...

I warned to him not to look at everything and ask me to buy in the shop
The shop wallas are best pscychologists...psychiatrists..they can easily guess whether the person who has come will buy or will not....will bargain..or shall we reduce
they will calculate the desperateness of children ....wifes curioisty...
they are masters in that...

Hence warned my kid against it....
outside the shop there were yellow and blue colored birds ..including parrot etc
and on one side there were white and grey colored rabbits
inside the shop they had acquariums of variou sizes

I went into the shop and told that this is the first time i was buying hence needed minimum sized bowl and couple of fish and food for it...
everything of it costed me 185..
That was quite a cheap amount...
I was happy
Now the birds they were costly according to me...2 birds costed around 350
and the cage costed 500 and the food 75
So everything for 925
with great difficulty finally bargained for 800
and got ..
Now i was a bit embarassed of having spent that much money on 2 little birds
How would my family receeive it
will ppl think that i am flaunting my money too much
Saw a beggar...was thinking that these rich people cry for giving us 1 rupee and buy birds..and care abt them

Why do human beings care for non-humans rather than humans...

i warned to my helper not to reveal its price if anybody asks in the auto
none of them asked except one woman
immediately after she saw the cage..first question was where and how much...
i was prepared not to answer..so shall i remain silent if when she asked
or shall i say i am not interested in answering your question
or..i dont usually reveal prices..
I just ignored her question..she put it again...i ignored again and looked at other side....

why i did not like that question?
May be i myself am not convinced abt the cost....

we slowly got down at Nizampet village
walked 1 km again

remembered the details of maintainence from the shop guy
while my kid and helper were busy putting water into fish bowl and
giving food to birds...
i prepared lemon juice...

Me and my kid and helper sat outside...
Outside with cool breeze at own house
with glass of lemon water....

I thank all nature....for giving me such soothing and comfort
After hearing all traffic nonsense..returning back to home is truly relaxing...
