Revenge Story behind ash gourd fryums(boodidha gummadi kaaya vadiyalu)

It was my year long desire to make fryums out of ash gourd

It is a tradition in andhra to serve fryums during any occasion
Like marriage ,festivals and guest visit

If anybody has any doubt what is ash gourd refer to pic below


I want to share with you all (and myself) a revenge story....behind this vadiyalu
though the story is not the only one to motivate me to make them...
It is definitely one of the factor

One person(will not name..people who know me well know her)...knew that i like them
she offered that as i like that she would bring the ash gourd from vizag
I pleasantly said no as it would difficult for her to carry so much of weight
she insisted and i refused...

Later one of my relatives had this ash iurd in thier back yard and they offered me..
i immediately got it in auto carrying it
I was just wating to make her do vadiyaalu for me

next day morning she and her daughter got up
made vodiyaalu batter
and
put only 25 vadiyaalu and made rest all as "Atlu" or pan cakes
i was awestruck and cheated
i had so much hope and imagined and dreamt of having lot of them through out year
The year before year i didnot have them and yearned for them...
hence was eagerly waiting
moreover she said more than fryums...pan cakes are more special...
and also added..."You know right?!!! i usually am not healthy and hence dont make them..
my akka used to make them"

I felt cheated ..cheated ..cheated

Thats why i was very much interested in planting a creeper
Luckily my kid along with his buddy ...just like that sowed the ash gourd seeds

a big creeper came...and occupied whole of my lawn area..
we have totally 9-10 ash gourds...
i want to make vadiyaalu out of atleast 1 or 2
and distribute to the woman
who cheated me
...
want to show that i too can...

Isnt it stupid...silly...
but then who said i am not stupid and silly

waiting for these vadiyams to get dried

to add on the technical side
1)with vadiyam batter if we do vada/garelu type taste will be awesome
2)we can make attu/pan cake with same batter...just like what the woman in my story did
after drying the fryms in sun for 1 day..it will be half dried and half kaccha
3)you can fry them and have it with hot rice...
4)ash gourd juice is very healthy according to ayurveda..you can have juice with ashgourd as well
please let me know if somebody want to know more about this

I know it already

Often i come across situations where one person share with the other person
some updates or new findings enthusiastically

They could be friends,relatives,colleagues

Opposite people coolly say "we know it already!!!"

It is a form of ego in lighter form
It not only exhibits ego of a person
but also disappoints other person who wants to share the info with enthu....

it makes the guy face pale....and often embarrased....

It is utterly bad habit....
I am yet to overcome that...but i sincerely feel everybody should avoid that

It shows that the person had stopped listening to people
One should be a good listener to learn things
if you cant wait till the other person stops the sentence then that means
that you have nothing to listen
and just overloaded with already existing knowledge that you want to just dump....

Man and human species are outcome of certain chemical changes in nature...
It is said that Human being is most evolved being (?)

We have not discovered till now if there exists an evolved species on earth apart from Man

If a computer is made of software and hardware
the amount of software in the system and number of applications loaded and system processing speed and memory decide whether the system is well configured

similarly knowledge .intelligence memory decide the worth of a person...

humans are part of nature and share the planets like a plan and other animals/insects

Now a days all of us are hearing word "Avoid plastic"

why we should avoid ...as it does not decompose and get decayed easily....
why it does not?...because it is not a natural product

products other than the ones got from trees or earth are unnatural
products manufactured inside manufacturing unit like plastic,chip

They are not from nature..hence will not go well with nature...
what happens is they start impacting the surroundins
eg:cell phone
when cell phone came it was a rage
Even daily wage labourers have cell phone
the influence of usage of that cell phone is huges
Its dangerous radiations effect the brain ..the body...
spoil the surroundings....
cause cancer
unnecessary communications...will lead to unnecessary problems
heat and disturbance produced by these technology can cause huge negative impact...
usage of TV...Sound pollution...ill effect on eyes....kids addictions etc etc

So what we need to do
we need to be choosy and try to be as much as close to nature

as we go away from nature ...and start using more unnatural things...sure for sure 100% there would be side effects
tooth brushing.....use natural like neem,salt
gas-use natural gas
utensils ...avoid nickel coated ..use steel..and if possible...copper,brass or clay ones
soap:stop using artificial soap and use home made powders to give foam and cleanliness
shampoo---ayurvedic or rita powder,shikakai etc already in place
dress:cotton no synthetic
bag-jute bags
footwear:mostly made of natural material
food:not processed ...only natural..try to invent simple methods by which we can grow our own vegetables....

This is extremely true statement
whether it is software project or a work in daily routine...
We make several assumptions to start a work,
We take few things for granted
and often think with a closed mind....
hence stop thinking laterally and rationally
With my experience i often found that if we conclude something by considering all dimensions ....
God will show the fourth dimension....
May be that 4th dimension is luck, fate...

I have and always realized that a simple logic will decide lives
there are numberous examples i have faced and am currenlty in day to day life
One idea does indeed change the course of life....
One of most prominent ideas which changed the way i am today
1.decision of learning java instead of vb...happened in last minute..suggestion by friend anitha..thanks to anitha for giving me suggestion
it was on the terrace of her uncles place
where we were discussing abt career options
she wanted to do VB and i also opted
she suddenly said why do you want o learn VB every body does that
i also started thinking and it also struck to me
i learnt java and here i am working in s.w for past 10 yrs
i have been taken just as a java expert
2.My idea of java interview
My logic of my first java interview ..
My logic ..since java language was invented in 1995 ...there would be few
guys to interview who knew java
and the guys who would interview would be generally seniors who donot know java
My logic worked...-)
3.How the idea of my fathers friend helped me get thru my engineering
I got a not so good rank in eamcet
There were free and payment seats
free seat costed 3750 rs then and payment 30k
I was reluctant to join in payment seat
all rounds of counselling got over
My fathers friend gave him an idea to enrol us in "waiting list"
This worked..we were called for waiting list and i got thru
and passed engineering
If that idea was not given to my father...no engg seat..no job ....
and the guys who would interview would be who donot know java

Good

Liking is a comparision between an already built image in mind and comparing the object against it.
If it passes the comparision its good..otherwise its not
suppose for me a white colored ambassador is a perfect example of car
every car i see ..i would invariably compare with this ..if it matches its a good one
otherwise not...

Thats a reason a thing liked by somebody is not liked by everyone....
as thier mind holds a different image of the object..
until the other object is close to that image ...they will not say yes...or smile.or nod

There is lot of gap between planning and implementation
escpecially if this is done at different tiers or by different people
For ex i am constructing a house and gave certain specificatins to the builder
Now the builder would not actually go and construct the house right
he would give to the work to a mason and the mason to a worker at the location

Now suppose i go and visit the house under construction once in a while
and i happen ti see certain flaw
what i do ...i go to builder and tell him
Now by the time i come next day......the builder has to tell mason and the mason to the worker
When all this communication in place..the actual work is done...
if there is a gap in any of this communications
for a simple reason say...the cell phone of the mason is busy ..then the builder may not be able to tell him and this may result in a irreverable damage to the design.....isnt it?

similarly if i want something to be carried over to somebody at home and if it time bound
I communicate it to my family persons through SMS
then i leave to office
If the people at home dont communicate with each other and based on SMS if the person does things at wrong time.....
then the actual work is not done....though i planned it right.....
so we propose and god disposes.....

School of mischief
The other day i was telling to my kid that i will join him in a school where there are no studies
but the only thing they need to do is play and be mischievous

Really how happy the kids would be ..playing..throwing mud....hitting.....eating chocolates......
hitting each other.......crying..complaining.....

In india and in AP especially i donot think the current schools are depriving kids of the happiness they deserve in thier childhood...

homework competition exams IITS EAMCETs ...oh
Granted that they passed those exams and became successful in life ....success here means money

But would they get the happiness and silliness they lost....

Will they feel that they have led life fullest.....i doubt.....
But again with those sacrifices may be country is built...thats a different story

born to me
The other day my son was doing a mischief when i asked him to stop that...
The answer he gave me was 'my wish'
Then i thought intelligetly and answered back to him
'As i gave birth to you it is my wish and not yours'
swift came his reply
'I have taken birth in you so it is my wish'
I was both amused and suprised and enlightened...Amused due to his wit and suprised due to his logic...and enlightened for the answer ....
In movies and in life in general we often think that we have given birth to kids and hence they should listen to us and obey us......
Is it that we have given birth to them .....or is it that 'they' have taken birth....
we tend to think that without us they are not there and each and every cell of them belongs to us...
Is it really true......
I guess they are born 'through' us and not 'by' us.
What i mean by this is we are only channels for making them step on this earth and we should not beleieve or think that we possess whole and sole rights on them and insist that they need to obey us ....as we gave birth to them....
But again if we dont possess them then why the responsibilities....
Not sure of it....but as medium for thier birth we owe to them few things and they are our responsibilities...
Here i am not talking abt dharma or indian culture...
Even if we talk about Hindu Dharma
Our duty probably lies in given birth to a soul on earth....and trying to make thier life smoother.....
They say soul searches for a proper womb and takes birth....
May be that is the reason why inspite of trying hard some people does give birth.....

genes....caste

Everybody says one should not have caste feeling..
All men/woman have same blood etc etc
Ok ...ok...
I am reading most oftenly in news papers that most of the characters of human species are coz of genes...
ok sir ..ok
Also read that even if a person smokes one cigarrette in his life it is imprinted in his genes..
Not only that..tendency for illegal relationships is in genes...
If the nature of a person is decided by his genes and if genes is governed by his actions
then people doing similar actions should have similar type of genes and similar nature....
A blacksmith does similar work through out his life and chance is that his work is prinited in his genes...
Hence there is no surprise that his offspring may have tendency to do similar job..or work..
Similarly a butcher ...a smoker...an actor etc...

In olden days it is heard that people of same profession are identified by caste...
Then the genes carried by same caste people and hence the nature of same caste people would generally be same...as the marriages happened within same caste ....the genes would be circulated internally
Hence more or less same caste guys have same characteristic and carry forward same character in next generation too...

That is the reason for oppostion towards intercaste marriages previously..
and i agree with this....

Unless i find a more strong and convincing argument.......

Why on the earth do you want another god when there are already lots like rama and krishna and shiva ..or jesus or alla ?

Whats more disgusting is this dumbo devotees not only follow these babajis but after sometime proclaim themselves to have some powers.....

shopping saturday

went to lepakshi yesterday and bought one pochampalli pattu dress,one bandni cotton dress and bought kurtha and khadhi shirt to prakash

Had poothareku prepared fresh in the stall
ate vedi vedi samosa near kolan raghava reddy gardens
The samosa boy was really preparing samosas very hot and quick
he brought bundle of samosa kneaded ata cut into rectangles and in wafers
he is preparing 1 samosa per minute..too efficient and speed

ate veg tiffin at kundanbagh veg tiffins....

bought some stuff at chermas ....could not stop myself from buying new clothes to karthik for sankranthi

16 yrs

Long ago before 16 yrs there was a college ...4 friends..2 boys 2 girls
In some occasion one of the friend who is a guy told in one conetxt to a girl "So what"?!!!
In telugu it means "aithe enti"

the girl got infuriated...angry..ukrosham..anguish etc etc..
she tried to give back to him ...and answered him with "So what" in different ways later ...

Cut chesthe.......

The girl got married and has a son....
Again in another occasion...Girl (mother) talks sentimentally to the son ...i am your mom

To which the son replies "So what?"!!!!

What is this ..history repeats....
can the girl take out the anguish on the son as she did with her friend ...certainly not...

The girl(mom) who got irriated with the same question 16 yrs ago
felt thrilled....happy for the same question put by her son.....

Stingy guy and Investor

On my way to office yesterday..a new point stuck to me
Difference between miser and investor
Stingy Guy thinks saving is earning....and investor stays on ground of current saving and increases/multiplies the money he has
Stingy guy goes on reducing his needs to save money
but alas....he does not have a choice..he has to fulfill his basic needs...
so he cannot go beyond a certain limit...
He has to atleast have his food and clothing right.....

There are no limits for an investor ,...he goes on taking risks and multiply his amt....
So all Stingy guys out there...sorry...u cannot save much...
