i was thinking there should be a background checking for prospective bride grooms ..and in matrimony sites/offices ...a guy with background checked card should be the most preferred one...i have friends who were promised an incorrect salary/property/debts etc. and got married....after marriage same case for brides also....
this mostly happens due to parents not being cautious
...feeling hesitant to cross check twice
as mainly marriage is a trusted relationship
example...a bride is ready for marriage
brides parents search for a groom with a decent salary say 30k
they get a proposal ..who publishes in matrimony site or answers a ph call saying he gets 35k
so what is the cross check there...the girls parents cannot ask for proof as boys side will get offended
so they happily think that they got more than what they thought
do a grand marriage ....and boast of thier son in law salary
the girl also enters with same "trust" that the salary of her husband is enough to lead a life she expected/dreamt...
as usual after marriage ...first 2 months...u like chiru...i like chiru...
third month slowly struggle starts....somehow the guys payslip or bank statement or the guy himself says that he gets approx 25k totally
and 35 k was his about to get hiked salary etc
so the same "trust" gets betrayed...
girl stops believing the guy....all her dreams shatter....she tells to parents...parents cannot do anything now...so the parameter which was basis of the marriage is incorrect now,,,,
same case2: brides parents wants to marry her to a guy who has job and has his own house
the guy shows a house and says it is a common house between him and his bros
guys mother also supports him..
after marriage they came to know that the house does not belong to this guy...and the house is on the name of somebody else
so what should the girls parents do now
better early than late
i say its always better to do a background and thorough checking of the guy before getting married
i very well know that its a sensitive issue on the brides parents side to ask for the credibility of the information...
that is the reason this should be done by the matrimonial site or mediators
i even say ..keeping a private detective and finding the details is much wiser than jumping into the married life without proper cross checking
again pls dont say that person is important ...and his character is important
we cant get those checked....this blog post is not for such senti morons
